It’s official: Zion Williamson is not expected to return to the NBA during the 2021-22 season. The 21-year-old, however, continues to churn out new colorways of his Jordan Zion 1 signature sneaker, with the latest donning a mismatched “White/Black/University Red” colorway seemingly inspired by “yin-and-yang” philosophy.
Akin to other propositions under the “NIKE, Inc.” banner, the latest non-Air Jordan basketball shoe doesn’t indulge in a symmetrical look between left and right shoes: the former boasts a “White”-colored toe accompanied by pitch-dark cicles, whereas the right shoe’s toe opts for a clean “Black” makeup. Lace loops, “ZW” logos on the spine and circular emblems on the top of the tongue introduce vibrant red flair into the mix, which root the colorway in Michael Jordan heritage. Lastly, sole units also partake in the mismatched arrangement, as “yin-yang”-appropriate color combinations take over the made-for-basketball tooling between both shoes.
No firm Nike.com launch date details have been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change before the end of the NBA season (mid-April). In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
