The Nike Air Huarache is no longer celebrating its 30th anniversary, but it continues to emerge in refreshing, compelling colorways that propel it towards another 30 years.
As has been the case with dozens of Nike Sportswear, Air Jordan and Converse propositions over the last three years, the latest take on Tinker Hatfield’s scuba suit-inspired design has recently been reinvented through the lens of sustainability. Nike Grind, which consist of manufacturing floor scraps, lands along the profiles, around the heel and across the tread, with the most latter component being the most common across the aforementioned offerings. Woven bases are visible at the toe box and around the mid-foot and spine, replacing traditional neoprene material. Underfoot, midsoles deviate from the white and red tones that dominate the woven underlays up top, opting for a light cream tone and speckled finish that speaks to their partly-recycled makeup.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
