Earlier this year, A-COLD-WALL teamed up with Converse to present two, recycled iterations of the Aeon Active CX. And now, only months thereafter, the two are repurposing many of the same principles for their newest silhouette: the sustainably made Sponge Crater CX.
Despite being made of very few components, the Sponge Crater CX is both visually and structurally advanced. Borrowing excess and scrap materials from the factory floor, the silhouette is “constructed to adapt across terrains,” doing so easily with its CX cushioning and egg-crate style traction pod outsole. Crater Foam is then used to mold the unique exoskeleton, which encases the orange-colored, flat-knit upper. This sock-like fixture, which is clad with pull-tabs for easy entry, further secures the foot without compromising comfort and breathability.
For a closer look at ACW’s Sponge Crater CX, see below. These will be available on a-cold-wall.com, Converse.com, and select retailers come June 23rd.
In other news, the Air Jordan 4 Infrared is releasing this week.
