The Boston-based institution has worked nearly every footwear brand on the market, and understandably so: from concept to execution, their collaborations have delivered, and their newest project with Salomon connects the dots from two seemingly unrelated points of interest.
Focusing on the X-Mission 4, one of the brand’s most popular everyday silhouettes, Bodega applies a unique tie-dye treatment to the nylon upper called “Stormy Sky”. This smokey palette is different from one pair to the next, ensuring that each pair is truly a 1-of-1. Aside from the visual spark, this X-Mission 4 is outfitted with all the tech that deems the sneaker one of the best in the brand’s line-up, including 3M reflective touches, and all-terrain Contagrip®️ at the sole. Finally the random array of colors is a reference to tapetum lucidum, a natural phenomenon of color that occurs in a cat’s eyes.
