Sneaker News PUMA and basketball star Breanna Stewart have announced the PUMA Stewie 1 signature shoe, the first new women’s basketball signature shoe in over a decade. The addition of Stewart’s signature shoe adds to a growing selection of product from PUMA Hoops, headlined by LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB 01. The Stewie 1 also headlines the newly created PUMA Women’s Hoops category in 2021.
Revealed in a “Quiet Fire” colorway, this launch edition sees a neon yellow fading into a black molded heel inspired by ripples in water, representing Breanna’s power that hides underneath her quiet demeanor. Embedded at the bottom of the heel is a stitch-mark, representing the Achilles surgeries that Breanna had to endure before her epic comeback.
Stewart, who already debuted the shoe during the WNBA All-Star Game, will be lacing up the shoes throughout the remainder of the WNBA season.
A release date has yet to be revealed, but PUMA confirms a release this Fall 2022 season at PUMA and partnering retailers.
