Nike Explores New York’s Five Boroughs With The Air Huarache “Run NYC”

Nike Explores New York’s Five Boroughs With The Air Huarache “Run NYC”

Nike, though headquartered in Beaverton, has made New York a second home of sorts, planting themselves right on 6th Ave. And to give back to the city that welcomed them all those years ago, the brand has delivered many a different tribute, from colorways inspired by iconic parks to collaborations with beloved pizza joints like Scarr’s. Here, their love letter continues on with the upcoming Air Huarache “Run NYC,” which — along with recalling the silhouette’s roots — nods to the five boroughs.

In tandem with the “NYC” markings on the laces, the pair features a special logo lockup on the insole: this graphic casts a bridge just in front of what looks to be the Empire State, while “RUN NYC” and “5 Borough Tour” sit above and below, respectively. The tongue tag, too, has been swapped out, though for the Huarache’s OG branding. Moreover, the colorway itself is similarly nostalgic, as it lays retro hues underneath and adjacent to white leathers and black neoprene.

For a closer look at the Air Huarache “Run NYC,” check out the official images below. These are likely to hit shelves relatively soon, so sit tight as we await their Nike.com and select retailers release.

In other news, official images of the Zoom Freak 4 Unbelievable have surfaced.
