Over the course of the past few years, a number of collaborators have had their way with the Blazer. Cactus Plant Flea Market chopped off a few inches, READYMADE completely warped the construction as a whole, and Virgil Abloh reimagined the classic in his signature deconstructed style. Nike themselves have offered a few redesigns of their own, and they’re launching yet another this year: the Blazer Mid ’77 Remastered.
A much subtler interpretation relative to the work of the above-mentioned, this model indulges in a patchwork-inspired approach. Along this forthcoming colorway, the newly-spliced materials — namely, the textile along the mid-panel and the textured block just below — are highlighted in Fall-appropriate hues, such as a “Sesame” and “Pecan.” Dark browns mark the adjacent lace unit and suede heel, while the leather and overlays elsewhere opt for a more standard arrangement comprised of White, “Light Bone,” and a bit of “Sail.”
Enjoy an official look at this Blazer Mid ’77 Remastered below. These should hit select retailers and Nike.com soon, so sit tight.
In other news, official images of the 2022 Air Max 97 Silver Bullet surfaced yesterday morning.
