In the many years since their founding, A BATHING APE has delivered no shortage of iconic pieces, ranging from camo-clad hoodies to, of course, extremely colorful sneakers. And what began with the BAPE STA soon evolved into an entire catalog of staple silhouettes, such as the Manhunt, SKULL STA, ROAD STA, and so on. Atop this foundation, the streetwear brand has continued to introduce several new designs; and just a little over a year ago, one of these pairs — the COURT STA — was leaked to the public.

Unreleased and likely to stay that way, the COURT STA effectively builds off its more notable predecessor, the BAPE STA. But whereas the latter made a name for itself with patent leather and crazy colorways, this shoe begins (and, simultaneously, ends) its legacy in black and grey. This neutral base serves as the canvas for a number of details signature to A BATHING APE, from the STA logo to the debossed, ABC Camo-inspired pattern.
