Teased across the internet in a Nike Zoom Eldoret-reminiscent color scheme over the last few months, the Nike Zoom Pegasus 40 recently appeared via official images in a tame black, white, and grey ensemble.
Rumored to debut before summer, the fortieth iteration of the Nike Pegasus series – the brand’s “workhorse with wings” and best-selling line of running shoes – appears more of an evolution than revolution from the last handful of models in the family. Shape-wise, the Pegasus 40 is near-identical to the Pegasus 39, which has been better-received than the 38. Much of the sole unit and enclose Zoom Air technology seemingly remains the same from last year’s proposition, but the upper has been reported to provide a sturdier feel. Furthermore, branding hits on the unreleased silhouette differ from past offerings, with “Pegasus 40” text landing on the lateral mid-foot.
Enjoy official images of the inaugural pairs ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch between April and July.
