Returning to the brand’s regular rotation of offerings, the Nike Air Kukini’s cult-like following has proffered a new age of design language for the experimental design from 2000. Continuing the neoprene construction’s diverse array of opportunities, an experimental wave of black and orange markings lay claim to the latest effort.
Disparate from the model’s tonal compositions thus far, the light grey base layer of the upper lies in stark contrast to the faded neon tongue overlay, midfoot trim and heel accent. Similar to the TPU overlays which lay claim to the Air Max Plus, the mesh upper indulges in abstract jet-black lines sprawling across the silhouette while accompanied by random splotches of vibrant orange. Furthering the pitch-dark shade’s use throughout, suede toe caps and heel overlays in tandem with the semi-translucent webbed layering. Brightened underfoot through the midsole’s choice of cream-coated feature, the molded tread underfoot concludes with a gum finish.
Tentatively scheduled for this summer, enjoy official images of the latest Nike Air Kukini below while we sit tight on further release details.
