The Nike Air Flight Huarache OG Returns Soon

The Nike Air Flight Huarache OG Returns Soon

A relic of the past, the Nike Air Flight Huarache returns to original form in April.

Famously associated with the “Fab Five” from the University of Michigan, the sneaker was designed by Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar. While a high-top, the silhouette used a performance running shoe as its blueprint given that the Nike Air Huarache debuted a year earlier (1991). The neoprene inner bottle delivered comfort, breathability, and protection in a lighter package than other prominent hoops shoes of the time. Ankle support was also provided without the exaggerated straps seen on some of the Swoosh’s other products. Underfoot, the Air Huarache’s reliable cushioning was modified for basketball, donning herringbone traction across the outsole.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead as you wait for a Nike SNKRS release come April.
