At the very beginning of 2023, it was confirmed that the Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” would finally be making its return, doing so 14 long years after its last appearance. And following months after its initial leak, insiders have shared that the colorway will be landing this November in full family sizes.
Originally released back in 1997, the Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” is one of the classic’s several OG colorways, outfitting MJ himself during the 1996-97 season. It would eventually return years later in 2009 — and now yet again for 2023, this time featuring both the same packaging and spec as its earliest predecessor. Accented with silver metallic hardware, the pair is helmed by “Varsity Red,” which dresses the silhouette’s textured mudguard, midsole, and Jumpman logos. Black neutrals, then, detail the lining and branded strip along the heel, while white paints the tongue as well as the quilted side panel.
The 2023 Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” is currently set to release on October 28th at a retail of $210 USD. As we await images of the upcoming Retro, enjoy a quick look at the OG right here.
