Official Images Of The Nike Air Foamposite One “Metallic Red”

Revisiting a popular release from 2017, Nike is circling back to the Air Foamposite One “Metallic Red” for a much-anticipated drop in 2023. However, there’s a change to the newer version that is either minor or major depending on the individual.

Originally reported back in August of 2022, the Metallic Red Foamposite will feature the same matte red finish on the molded foam upper, with translucent icy outsoles and a black trim. However, instead of the customary nubuck material used on the lace collar, Nike has opted for a premium tumbled leather finish — the same seen on the upcoming Penny Hardaway Foamposite PE. This could very well be a mainstay detail for 2023 Foamposite releases, bringing a bit of variance to a silhouette that just surpassed its quarter-century anniversary.

The material swap is  the only real difference from the 2023 Foamposites; the same red threads can be seen on the pull-tabs at the tongue and heel, while a matching hue is seen on the traction pad on the outsole.

A release date is expected sometime during the Summer 2023 season for $240; see the official images below for a full detailed look.
