Fresh off of signing his initial endorsement deal with Nike back in 2003, The Swoosh commemorated their historic partnership with LeBron James through a specially crafted pair of Nike Air Force 1’s in homage to James’ close-knit inner circle. Comprised of Maverick Carter, Rich Paul and Randy Mims, the “Four Horsemen” were etched into the Beaverton brand’s archives and now, are set to return atop the Nike LeBron 20.
Expected to join the upcoming re-release of the Bruce Kilgore design that lands this Thursday, James’ 20th signature silhouette enjoys a stark departure from the simplistic white/green “SVSM” effort of years past. Here, a neutral backdrop is employed with the upper’s supple nubuck construction receiving a clad coat of tan, color-matched along the nylon collar, leather quarter and ribbed tongue. The versatile range of textiles continues along the bright red chenille and navy blue suede Swooshes while a seldom deployment of green lines the upper and stitching of the secondary Check. Finished by a sky blue semi-translucent tread underfoot, the AF-1’s chess piece of the heel now appears at the insoles in conclusion.
While we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy a detailed look at the Nike LeBron 20 “Four Horsemen” below.
