Receiving a modernized revitalization last year, the Nike Air Kukini was bestowed an expansive slate of colorways to welcome the cult classic silhouette back into the Beaverton brand’s regular fold. Remaining true to its synonymous titular grandeur, the neoprene-constructed model now assumes the vibrant camouflage that surrounds a poison dart frog.
Goldenrod yellow and a faded teal are selected to work together in an effort to construct the amphibian-like upper in a two-toned medley. While the light blue shade is reserved, the golden yellow hue is anything but as it consumes the suede tongue tab and mudguard before additionally filling the insoles, collar lining and semi-visible Air bag underfoot. Providing necessary contrasts at the “Shadow Grey” heel and jet-black webbed TPU overlays, a complimentary shade of light grey cures the front half of the tread while a crisp white midsole brings a monochromatic finish to the summer-ready ensemble.
Scheduled to release in the coming weeks for a retail price of $140, in the meantime enjoy a detailed look at the Nike Air Kukini “Poison Dart Frog” below.
In other news from the Beaverton brand, the Nike Air Force 1 “Bronx Origins” collection is expanding for the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop.
