Ever since 2021, Jordan Brand has been attempting to popularize the Air Jordan 2. And after countless releases as well as collaborations with the likes of Off-White, Union LA, and J Balvin, they’re well on the way to their goal. 2023 continues to their efforts, as the year has been quite heavy on the silhouette — especially its low-top trim, which is releasing this July in a familiar, UNC-inspired colorway.
Borrowing inspiration from a Player Exclusive worn by none other than Michael Jordan himself, the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” is expected to release later this July. From a design standpoint, the pair is near identical to its unreleased counterpart, boasting a near full white leather upper and matching midsole. Adjacent, the Tar Heels signature comes in along several accents, including but not limited to the piping, heel tab, and Wings branding. Finally, the outsole rounds out the colorway with additional hits of University Blue as well as a bit of grey and red.
Enjoy an official look at the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” right here. At the time of writing this, these are slated to release on July 6th vi Nike SNKRS as well as select retailers.
In other news, the Spider-Man Air Jordan 1 Stash Utility was recently unveiled in detail.
