Michael Le In addition to collaborations with the likes of Tiffany & Co. and Jarritos, Nike has spent the better part of 2023 adding to many of their collections. The “Athletic Dept.,” for example, has expanded rapidly over the course of the past few months, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The pack has just received yet another brand new hire in this Air Max 1, which features an understated, vintage reminiscent colorway. Sat atop a yellowed midsole complete with a black-on-blue bottom, the pair’s upper starts with a neutral base, with white mesh inserts and off-white overlays layered throughout the shoe. A dark navy, then, dress the Swoosh and mudguard over top, while deep greens highlight many of the branded fixtures adjacent, such as the embroidered Swoosh at the toe and the Nike Air along the heel.
Finished with “Athletic Dept.” branding, this Air Max 1 should be available at Nike.com and select retailers within the next few months. As we await its arrival, enjoy a closer look via the official images ahead.
