The Jordan Jumpman 1 Returns In A Familiar “University Blue”

The Jordan Jumpman 1 Returns In A Familiar “University Blue”

From the Jumpman Quick 6 to the Super Fly 2, the late 90s and early 2000s were dominated by team-based silhouettes from the Jordan brand as they positioned themselves further away from the Nike Inc. banner. Receiving its last retro take back in 2020, the Jumpman Team 1 now returns in a bevy of old-school and new inline styles alike.

Formulating its own identity while infused with technical elements from the brand’s flagship silhouettes, the circa 1997 tooling picks up on all the same archival design cues that initially iconized the Eddie Jones-endorsed model on the NBA hardwood. The full-grain leather upper gleams in a near-exclusive collection of crisp white shades, allowing the mesh tongue, oval laces and heel collar to further anchor the colorless backdrop. Elsewhere, elements of the Air Jordan 12 appear within the medial forefoot’s “University Blue” cut out while the staple Jordan hue collects further along the tread and the duo of bulbous logo dials.

Enjoy a detailed look at the Jordan Jumpman Team 1 “University Blue” below as we await further release details.

In other news from the Beaverton brand, the Jordan 1 “Palomino” recently surfaced in official imagery.
