Jared Ebanks Run, Jump, Cut and now Hustle. Nike Basketball’s Greater Than series has since expanded, offering a 3/4 cut model tooled for those who take care of the dirty work on the hardwood. From leaping at any 50/50 ball to positioning yourself in the paint for a charge, the GT Hustle 2 is primed for a season worth of fueling those with an unrelenting motor.
Suedes, plush mesh, ballistic panels and canvas layers imbue the silhouette with a concoction of textiles that achieve an overtly cushioned ensemble. Spearheaded by a full-length Zoom Strobel system underfoot, the pair’s latest colorway emphasizes the latter makeup with a striking greyscale color blocking. Jet-black hues build out a fair amount of upper real estate, curing the ribbed overlay, suede mudguard, nubuck tongue and canvas mid-foot panels.
While the laces and jewel tongue tab injects further pitch-dark notes, the vamp and heel counter engage in a contrasting “Pure Platinum” finish. Complimented by a crisp white midsole, the profile swooshes receive a titular “Pink Foam” cast while the semi-translucent traction pod-filled outsole comes anchored in an ice blue to pink gradient.
The Nike Zoom GT Hustle 2 “Pink Foam” is expected to release in the coming months for a retail price of $170. In the meantime, the pair can be seen below in official images.
