First rumored during the last few days of 2022, the return of the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” has been a long time coming. And after much anticipation, the wait is finally over, as the colorway is receiving its first-ever Retro tomorrow, August 29th.
Originally born in 2006, the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” joins the Jumpman’s on-going nod to the mid aughts. The non-OG pair boasts a luxe, premium nubuck across the entirety of its upper, which is predominantly dressed in the titular red. Icy, semi-clear soles sit right underfoot, complementing not only the cage just above but also the silver reflective finish that’s signature to the tongue of MJ’s fifth signature. Finally, the package is rounded out with “Light Graphite,” whose dark greys are applied to the midsole spikes, lining, and the Jumpman logo embroidered onto the heel.
Enjoy a close-up, detailed look at the 2023 Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” via the retailer imagery ahead. Again, these are releasing tomorrow, August 29th, doing so via both Nike SNKRS as well as select stores.
Speaking of 2006, a first look at the Air Jordan 5 Olive surfaced earlier this morning.
