Spearheaded by an appearance via Anthony Davis’ Instagram story, the Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” has resided in obscurity since 2021. That was until this past January, when the highly-regarded inverse of the iconic neon “Grinch” colorway received an official December 16th release date. While Kobe fans, basketball players and everyone in between will be vying for the pair this holiday season, Nike has since announced that the silhouette will also be released in grade school sizing.
Perfect for outfitting the young one’s on the hardwood or for family Christmas cards, the grade school sizes are a positive sign for those who have been wishing for an extended stock run from the Beaverton brand. Flipping the “Grinch” palette on its head three years after the latter’s retro release, “Bright Crimson” hues dominate the snakeskin upper instead of the aforementioned colorway’s “Electric Green” dominance – which now cures the laces and tongue tab exclusively. What’s more, jet-black profile swooshes bring an added level of clarity to the sea of striking red shades.
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch” is scheduled to be released in adult and grade school sizing on December 16th. In the meantime, the youth-sized pair can be seen in official imagery below.
In other news from the Beaverton brand, the LeBron 21 has begun surfacing in a number of colorways.
