China Klay Returns: ANTA KT9 Previewed Overseas

China Klay Returns: ANTA KT9 Previewed Overseas

Klay Thompson always feels an overwhelming amount of love whenever he visits China – so much so that he’s since received the monicker, China Klay. Having signed with Jingjiang-based ANTA in 2014 and receiving a 10-year extension through 2026, the four-time NBA Champion recently unveiled his ninth signature silhouette while on his East Asia tour.

From the “Captain Klay” pair to paying homage to his Caribbean heritage, the ANTA K9 is set to unveil a number of Thompson’s personal connections through intricately detailed and devised colorways. The 3/4 cut silhouette itself doesn’t stray too far away from the popularity of his line’s past outings, resembling the heel clip and sock-like construction of the K5. A streamlined, symmetrical tongue construction provides security and pristine aesthetics while a breathable ribbed textile consumes the mid-foot. Klay’s “K” logo can be found on the lateral heel while his #11 is typically stamped on the upper tongue and heel tab.

Enjoy a detailed look at the seven upcoming ANTA K9 colorways below as we await news regarding the pair’s release date.

In other news from the world of signature basketball shoes, the Kobe 6 “Reverse Grinch” will also release in grade school sizes.
