Over the past few seasons, Jordan Brand has been paying homage to Michael Jordan’s iconic Jumpman photo featuring the sunlit Chicago skyline. From an overt inspiration via a kids-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Mid to this past Spring’s Air Jordan 1 “Skyline”, the heavily used image has since spawned a subcollection of “Sky J” footwear.
Composed of a collection of tints from the latter image, the Sky J series has proffered everything from an Air Jordan 1 Elevate High to a “Mauve”-cured mid-top. Recently, the AJ1 Mid decided to engage in two of the luminous blue hues; “Sky J Teal” and “Sky J French Blue”. Striking up a synonymous two-toned upper, the dark seafoam green shade anchors the tumbled leather base layer and tongue while swatches of blue paint the surrounding overlays and tongue. Underfoot, a clad white midsole illuminates the silhouette before returning to its deep blue laurels across the tread.
Enjoy a detailed look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Sky J Teal” below as we await further release details.
In other news from underneath the Jumpman banner, the Zion 3 “Mud, Sweat & Tears” recently appeared in official imagery.
