Fresh off its first collaborative release alongside Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH banner, the Nike Air More Uptempo has been privy to an overwhelming number of compositions. While the Scottie Pippen-endorsed model has routinely cohabitated as a lifestyle staple, the 1990s tooling has since broadened the opportunity for youth-sized wearers.
Consumed almost entirely in bright white shades, the upper’s gleaming colorless backdrop allows for deep burgundy contrasts to invigorate the trim of the “AIR” lettering, lace loops, inner lining, embroidered swooshes and plastic lace hooks. The midsole, laces and mudguards additionally assume blank treatments, allowing for the old-school color blocking to be matched to any number of collegiate programs. The two-toned ensemble then harkens to the aesthetics of decades past, imbued with a vibrant gum outsole underfoot.
