In 2021 Nike Basketball introduced a new lineage of on-court silhouettes spanning the full range of player archetypes and their ensuing footwear necessities. Entering its third round of releases, the GT Series has since added a fourth model to the banner’s Jump, Hustle and Cut movement.

Clocking in as the Beaverton brand’s most affordable price point on the hardwood at $95, the GT Cut Academy embarks upon an overly simplistic construction as a soft textile mesh builds out the entirety of the upper with reinforced leather overlays. Boasting the same embroidered Swoosh that graces the Sabrina 1, the sole unit looks towards the brand’s standard Zoom cushioning system and a heavily serrated tread underfoot.

Introduced in a monochrome palette via official imagery, the Stormtrooper-esque composition airs on the side of crisp white ambiguity as jet-black contrasts clarify the tread, trim of the profile swoosh, the inner lining and the tongue tabs Academy branding. The low-top trim has additionally been seen a dominant “Summit White” treatment amplified through “Picante Red” hits that ascertain the exact same placements as its greyscale counterpart.

The all-new Nike GT Cut Academy is expected to release in Spring 2024 for a retail price of $95. In the meantime, the pair’s upcoming colorways can be seen in detailed imagery below.
