Amidst a carefully curated and intricately detailed Yardrunners collection that saw homages to six Nike-sponsored HBCUs, the Nike Terminator hasn’t stuck with the ecosystem as well as the Beaverton brand may have anticipated. Branching further from its collegiate-style color blockings inspired by its early 1980s release, the high-top trim’s latest colorway may invoke a wave of newfound appreciation.
Divulging away from its clad-leather origins into a more streetwear-conscious construction, the once Georgetown exclusive now sports an elegant suede base layer cured in a complementary faint baby blue hue. In stark contrast, the smooth leather overlays prefer a dark navy influence in tandem with the insoles and tread that oppose the light blue laces and the crisp white midsole underfoot. Elsewhere, the model looks to an aged cream finish across the profile swooshes and the heel panel’s cream-tinted textile while the tongue and heel tabs are stamped with a burnt orange closing.
Based on the pair’s regal bronze Nike Basketball insole logos, the aforementioned colorway could harken to the beginnings of the lifestyle banner’s latest inline collection of footwear. While we await official release details, the Nike Terminator High “Blue Suede” can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
For more upcoming releases, the SoleFly Jordan 8 is releasing tomorrow, December 8th.
