The evolution of the Nike brand largely hinges on the movement in innovation. In the mid-2000s, the brand began shelving its once game-changing Shox cushioning for one that was far more versatile — Lunar. This new foam-based comfort platform served Nike mightily for a decade as it served both the performance initiatives and lifestyle movements, but like Shox, it too was given a rest to make way for the next era of cushioning.
Lunar is back, bursting back onto the scene with the Lunar Roam silhouette. Introduced late last year, the Lunar Roam brought back the signature deep ridges that accordion when striking the pavement. The addition of exposed Flywire cables bring us back to the late 2000s too as it was one of the most common design-meets-performance details in Nike footwear at the time.
If you’re ready to move on to the next Lunar Roam offerings, Nike is bringing forth a white/gold/silver package for Spring 2024 with an MSRP of $150. See a first look just ahead and stay tuned for the official release in the coming months.
