Nike Basketball’s jumping back in time for their 2024 All-Star footwear, infusing elements of 1990s classics onto the current Greater Than model line-up. You’ve seen the GT Hustle 2 “Uptempo”, which features the enlarged AIR on the upper; now, take a gander at the GT Jump 2 inspired by 1998’s Total Foamposite Max.
A sneaker commonly associated with Tim Duncan before he made the jump to adidas, the Total Foamposite Max combined the innovative injection molded Foamposite upper with the cushioning properties of a full-length Air Max sole. The photo below reflects the original silver/black colorway worn by the San Antonio Spurs legend.
The GT Jump 2 features neither of those innovations, but rather mirrors that silver/black colorway with royal blue React Foam cushioning units and the iridescent pod that sits at the ankle of the shoes. Finally, the 1990s-era Nike label appears on the tongue and the insole; this details will likely be featured on the GT Cut 3 “All-Star” as well.
A release is scheduled for February 13th, 2024; see the first look ahead and stay tuned for more of the Nike All-Star 2024 footwear collection to be revealed.
