Accessible Air Jordan 1 Low Easy On Arrives In “Green Glow”

The accesibility-minded variation on Mike's first shoes hits shelves for Spring '24.

Accessible Air Jordan 1 Low Easy On Arrives In “Green Glow”

Towards the top of 2022, Nike revealed its first hands-free sneaker with the Nike Go Flyease. Though that release had its fair share of controversy, it did herald the start of accessible efforts in earnest at Beaverton, an initiative that’s continued as they move the same ease of access features onto models elsewhere. Now, the line is again revisiting the Air Jordan 1, with a Low emerging in vibrant “Green Glow.”

With this palette, the model is looking forward to Spring. The white and black portions of the shoe shouldn’t be alien to anyone who’s seen a Jordan 1 before, but the pastel green shade used here isn’t as frequent. Most famously used on the Jordan 4 of the same name in 2013, “Green Glow” on this pair of Easy On’s somewhat tip off further releases, with an Air Jordan 1 High “Green Glow” eyeing release on the 2024 calendar.

In its peripheral details, the Air Jordan 1 Low Easy On declare a bit of branding intrigue. Through its name and the hangtag attached to the zipper, Nike is shuffling titles on the accessible line, switching things from the Flyease label that’s marked models like the Air Force 1 for that titular “Easy On.” As of right now, it’s unknown whether the shift will run through all of their accessible offerings or if this is specific to either Jordan Brand or the 1 specifically. Despite that outstanding question, the hardware that makes these a hands-free proposition is unchanged, so if you’ve found success with these products before, you shouldn’t notice a difference.

Common with general release Jordans, there’s no specific release date attached to the Air Jordan 1 Low Easy On “Green Glow.” However, you can expect to come across these at retailers in the coming weeks, carrying a $130 price tag when you do.

As we get into the heat of the Jordan release calendar, check out all we know about one of the year’s first big drops with the Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined.”
