Carbon Fiber Weaves Its Way Onto The Nike Air Max Plus

Minor cosmetic changes have brought new life to Nike’s retro product, and it’s that added dimension and character that keeps these icons from past decades alive and well. Case in point: the Air Max Plus. We’ve seen a variety of executions that lend to sporty vibes, but few are as racy as this new “Carbon Fiber” edition.

With a sultry colorway reminiscent of interiors of high-end supercars, this Air Max Plus features all the classic workings of its original 1998 model, but with a slight change that at least gives off the appearance of going faster than fast. The exterior “lava lamp” cage, which is typically a polyurethane upper, now consists of a carbon fiber inspired pattern. The same material is often seen in the likes of Lamborghinis and Ferraris, but these wheels are priced much more appropriately at $175.

Expect this Air Max Plus to land on Nike.com soon; see the official images ahead to familiarize yourself with this upcoming release.

In other AM updates, here’s the latest on the recently revealed Air Max Dn, which is currently set for an Air Max Day 2024 launch.
