While the Nike Air Huarache has been going strong since 1991, a runner-specific offshoot slid into a Y2K-inspired slate of Swoosh products in 2023. Perhaps aiming to recapture the ubiquitous status the Huarache captured in the 2010s, the refreshed shoe is appearing again in a sleek “Glacier Blue” do.
As compared to the main model, the Air Huarache Runner cuts down the height of the tongue and backtab, leading to a much more condensed and streamlined design. Speaking of those early century aesthetics, the colorway that dons this pair speaks directly to that era. The White & Metallic Silver combination that adorns the leather overlays and mesh underpinnings is a dead giveaway for that lean.
Elsewhere on the shoe, the “Glacier Blue” namesake appears in two distinct applications, once on suede panels at the toe and near the laces, and once in subtle hits at the very rear. Finally, teal “Dusty Cactus” makes a cameo on the branding, with the mini Swoosh on the side and Air Huarache text & logo carrying that color.
Set to release in men’s sizing in the near future, the Nike Air Huarache Runner “Glacier Blue” will arrive at a $140 price point. You can find a full look at the sneakers below.
Should the model itself not be your favorite, take a look at two similar colorways with the Jordan 1 Low “Glacier Blue” and Nike Cortez “White/Glacier Blue.”
