The Nike Air Force 1 Shadow, with all its hardware bells and whistles, is often a place where Nike designers can go very experimental with how they treat the AF1. In their latest edition, the Shadows present as a pastel pastiche of the 1990s, heavily inspired by the maximalist neon tones of a few decades ago.

Just as the mainline AF1 is the foundation the Shadow is built on, this specific colorway clearly uses the iconic white-on-white version as their initial reference point. From there is where things go wild. Everything comes in pairs, with doubled swooshes, doubled air tags, even two tongue tags rotated 180 degrees.

For the underlying of each of those two piece sets, an aquatic blue is the chosen color, with a neon hot pink the one that gains the literal upper hand. It’s not the end of the story palette-wise though, as a “Sundial” shade of goldenrod and a lilac provide accenting on the rear panels and in some of the branding.

Looking at past releases, this can be taken as an extension of territory the shoe has explored before, with the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow “Multicolor” from last year.

Though that 2023 pair remains available on the Nike website, the pair in question here remains without a set release date. In lieu of that, look for these hitting shelves near you in the coming weeks. They’ll do so with the typical AF1 Shadow price point of $130 in women’s sizing.

Another pink-heavy shoe made headlines last week when the Nike KD 4 “Aunt Pearl” was announced for a Holiday 2024 release.
