The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Flight” Celebrates Retro Mascots

Jordan Brand continues its embrace of vintage treatments with the arrival of the women’s Jordan 1 Mid SE “Flight.” Unlike recent retro-inspired drops that have boasted official Nike insignias of the past, this design welcomes an entirely new theme with a focus on sports mascots.

While the shoes offer a flamboyant enough appearance based on color alone, its special detailing and add-ons are what set it apart. The tongue and insole feature “Air Jordan Flight” branding straight out of the 70s and 80s, complete with drawn “Black Cat” mascots in a clever nod to Michael Jordan’s most notorious nickname. Accompanying the shoes is a retro hotel hangtag, surely evoking core memories of travel tournaments and the like from youth athletes of the past.

The rest of the design adopts a washed, naturally aged look, with orange paneling and visible blue stitch combining to produce a fitting aesthetic. White leather keeps things tame on the base, while yellow hits add a touch of differentiation on the Jordan Wings logo and tongue. Underfoot, the design is complete with a white midsole and royal blue tread, made eccentric by a splash of bubblegum pink.

No release date has been set at the time of this writing, but pairs should be making their way out to retailers within the next few months. In the meantime, enjoy official images below and visit our Jordan Release Dates page for more.
