While the 2023-24 season for the Portland Trail Blazers and Scoot Henderson has brought mixed results, the 20-year-old phenom still has an incredibly bright future, with his video game athleticism one of the biggest reasons why. Taking that to heart, the latest collaboration for his PUMA Scoot Zero brings NBA 2K into the mix, donning his signature and a corresponding PUMA Suede with a ton of allusions to the basketball sim.
The chief conceptual tie is a heavy set of references to NBA 2K’s shot meter, the timing-reliant gameplay mechanic that decides your shot quality ingame. A one-to-one replication of the feature crops up with a white-yellow-green gradient appearing on the outsole of the Scoot Zero, mirrored via the Formstrip branding on the Puma Suede. Boding well for both Scoot and the wearer’s jumpers, green plays the primary role in that scheme. Additionally, the pairs feature a notable dose of co-branding, with the suede planting the 2K logo on its tongue, and the Scoot Zero alternating between that and Henderson’s emblem on its tongues. Outside of those vibrant details, both editions rely on a conservative black and white color scheme that makes these an easily wardrobe fit.
The PUMA 2K collection hits PUMA.com on April 4th at midnight. The PUMA Suede will retail for $80, while the PUMA Scoot Zero will command $110.
Elsewhere in signature shoes, the Nike KD 17 was spotted in a blue & white “Penny” colorway.
