It’s long been a focus point for Nike and the NBA to make basketball a truly international sport. One of the biggest investments that the Swoosh has made to that point is their support of the Chinese High School Basketball League, aiming to cultivate a love for the game early. As the league approaches the end of its playoffs, Nike is minting another pair of the Nike GT Cut Academy for the occassion.
Taken alongside the previously unveiled Nike Zoom GT Cut Academy exploring the same theme, this creates a tidy “Home/Away” kind of look between the two shoes. While the former utilizes a steadier overall palette, this one entirely embraces the jade hues that only accented the former. Constant across both are the CHBL imagery that dots the shoes, driven home by the “One Shot In A Lifetime” motto printed on the toe to hanzi lettering stamped inside the tongue.
By all accounts, these are being minted to celebrate the May league championship. As such, they’re expected to be Asia-only drops. As always, we’ll be sure to keep this page current if a stateside release emerges. Below you can find an official gallery of images, giving you a closer look at some of the special edition peripherals that arrive with this shoe.
