When it comes to on-court footwear, no one can challenge PJ Tucker. Already attracting a ton of attention by adopting the Nike Book 1 last week, he returned to the silhouette just a few days later, unveiling a close look at his Nike Book 1 “Texas Vs. Kentucky” PE via his @pjtucker Instagram account.
True to the title, Kentucky Blue and Texas Orange dominate each opposing shoe, paying homage to Booker and Tucker’s respective alma maters. On both, the opposing shade additionally crops up as a slighter detail, outlining the Swoosh and providing contrast on scattered branding. To that point, “Chapter Zero” lettering appears on the heel pull tab, a continuation from the previous pair and a switch up from the “Chapter One” that marks general releases.
Playing two seasons on the Suns together, Tucker and Booker have cultivated a high profile sneaker-centric back and forth, PJ gifting a Nike Kobe 6 “Ukraine” PE towards the top of the season. Book of course returned the favor with this pair and the preceding Nike Book 1 “Chapter Zero” PE. With a release of the PJ Tucker Air Flight 89 collaboration potentially on the horizon, these exclusive looks serve as some synergistic promo for both ballers’ signature kicks.
