The Nike SB Vertebrae “Georgetown” Arrives Later This Summer

The Nike SB Vertebrae “Georgetown” Arrives Later This Summer

Among non-signature skate shoes, the Nike SB Vertebrae probably sets the clearest direction for new models under the Swoosh banner. It’s dead-set on appeasing skater’s performance needs with a lightweight upper, ample perforations, and a rubber cupsole with cored-out honeycomb tread for flexibility. Several colorways have hit skate shops thus far, and now a new “Georgetown” pair earmarked for Summer 2024 adds to that abundance.

Grey suede, white mesh, and an “Obsidian” Swoosh and heel combine to produce the collegiate look, amounting to the Vertebrae’s most simplistic colorway to date. The ribbed quarter panel that inspires the “Vertebrae” name can be traced to the long-forgotten Air Max Moto, and the pattern alone is similar to cage of the Nike Pegasus 2K5. Additionally, the Vertebrae features an elastic gusseted tongue that allows you to wear the shoes as slip-ons when the laces are removed.

While Georgetown doesn’t have a skate team, its mascot “Jack the Bulldog” has been known to shred from time to time.
