Where To Buy The Air Jordan 12 “Red Taxi”

The Air Jordan 12 “Red Taxi” releases on May 25th via SNKRS and select retailers, arriving in full family sizing. Officially subtitled the Jordan 12 “Taxi Flip,” the pricing breakdown for the shoe is as follows: $200 (adult’s), $150 (GS), $90 (preschool) and $75 (toddler). Understandably, the OG “Taxi” colorway sets up the foundation for this updated release. The “Red Taxi” diverges in the details, trading in gold accents for silver and adding a rosy stripe on either side of the midsole. Our Where To Buy” sections contain comprehensive lists of retailers carrying stock in all sizes. Original article posted April 30th, 2024: The Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” has been revisited time and time again, whether it be as a true retro, low-top, golf shoe, or new twist on the OG colorway that marked the model’s introduction back in 1996. This “Red Taxi” pair dropping on May 25th falls in the last of those categories, building on the namesake’s legacy among a slew of heritage-packed Summer 2024 drops.

While the shoe isn’t a true retro, it speaks to the Chicago-rooted makeups that generally define Jordan’s first numbers pairs. Red hits on the mudguard, tongue, and Jumpman logo on the forefoot portion of the outsole serve that theme, while the rest of the shoe stays close to the OG black and white design. Initial mock-ups suggested the shoes would feature red metallic eyestays, but official retailer images showcase a more familiar use of silver in that department, although different from the gold of the OG.

We haven’t seen a proper “Taxi” retro since 2013, but this pair could help satiate sneakerhead’s clamoring for another drop given its similar treatments, much like the Air Jordan 12 “Royalty Taxi” that dropped in 2021.

Mark your calendar for the shoe’s release in full family sizes on May 25th via Nike SNKRS and select retailers listed in our “Where To Buy” section just ahead. In more immediate Jordan release news, check out the store list for the Jordan 4 Military Blue dropping on May 4th.
