While adidas continues to flourish in the lifestyle genre, its basketball line has been simultaneously hitting all the right notes. Signature shoes by Anthony Edwards, Donovan Mitchell, and Dame Lillard among others stand rightfully at the forefront of consumer consciousness, but you could argue that the adiZero Select 2.0 stands as the brand’s most value-packed proposition. Its devotees will be happy to hear; two electric colorways are en route.
The latest adiZero Select 2.0 duo earns an unofficial “Hot Rod Pack” distinction through fiery adiZero branding on the heel, matched in essence by vibrant color palettes. One colorway opts for a balanced mix of red, orange, and yellow, while its counterpart embraces a “white hot” look via a pink/purple/blue gradient on its midsole and Three Stripes branding.
Steering focus to the model’s on-court performance, hoopers have mixed opinions. On one hand, Lightstrike cushioning makes for one of the lightest basketball shoes on the market, right up there with the Nike GT Cut 3 and various Li-Ning silhouettes. The catch is that the shoes aren’t extraordinarily durable, with wear testers reporting a short lifespan compared to top-shelf basketball models. Even still, it delivers broad consumer appeal at just $110.
Both members of the adiZero Select 2.0 “Hot Rod Pack” are available now overseas, with a stateside release likely to follow in the near future. Tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for all the latest updates while we keep our ears up for more info.
