Original article posted June 5th, 2024: It’s a well-established strategy for Jordan Brand, mint a colorway on a more hyped silhouette before branching it out to other models throughout the catalog. While the Air Jordan 1 “Georgetown” proper is a bit in the rear view, that pair and its Air Jordan 6 counterpart burned indelibly stamped the association between the Hoyas and that color combo. The Air Jordan 1 Mid is next up for that theme, hitting the Fall slate in that proud, complementary blend.

Compared to the heel to toe “Georgetown,” this Air Jordan 1 Mid takes a more measured approach to the same prompt. Classic white leather is the foundation, and “Smoke Grey” builds out from there, adorning the overlays, tongue and outsole for a comprehensively neutral base. It’s only on the Swoosh, collar, heel cup and select branding hits that the Hoyas’ Navy makes its appearance. Even though its given a lesser presence than the other two shades, its presence is felt greatly in this unorthodox color-blocking scheme.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Georgetown” is set to hit Nike.com and select retailers in the coming weeks as we near the start of Fall ’24. Adult and GS sizing will be on offer, retailing for $125 and $110 respectively. Enjoy official imagery just ahead (GS pair pictured.)
