Closer Look At The Air Jordan 12 “Wolf Grey”

Updated August 19th, 2024: Always a fan favorite, the Air Jordan 12 returns on September 28th in “Wolf Grey,” and we’re getting some new in-hand images ahead of the release. Confirming previous retailer shots, the AJ12 splits between a black leather foundation and titular “Wolf Grey” hits on the mudguard and sole unit. Matching metallic eyestays complete a stealthy design towards the collar.

With the release date creeping closer and closer, get a better sense of what to expect upon arrival with the gallery embedded below.

Until the release of the “Red Taxi,” it had been a quiet year for the Air Jordan 12. As we work towards Fall/Winter, that’s set to change in a major way. In addition to the Air Jordan 12 “Blueberry” coming in December, the “Wolf Grey” edition will ensure fans of the model are well fed, and we’re getting our first look ahead of its release.

It’s a flip of the most iconic color-blocking scheme for the Air Jordan 12, painting a combination of titular “Wolf Grey” and midnight black on the two-tone arrangement seen on the “Flu Game,” “Playoffs” and “Taxi.” Silver eyestays and a black stripe interrupting the mineral add some pops of contrast, as do flashes of white adorning the embroidered branding down the tongue. Underfoot, the sole pattern reflects the nocturnal arrangement up top, continuing a grayscale pattern in digitized fashion.

Largely, this colorway allows the dressed up appeal of the Air Jordan 12 model to shine through by keeping to a conservative script aesthetically. With the model marching on as one of the more well-regarded in Jordan Brand’s canon, it’s sure to be a recipe for success once again.

The Air Jordan 12 “Wolf Grey” is set to arrive on September 28th, retailing for $200. Expect the typical drop schedule, hitting SNKRS and partnered retailers. While you wait, get a full sense of what to expect this Fall via the gallery of retailer images ahead.
