The Nike Pegasus 2K5 is a sleeper pick when it comes to flushing out your summer sneaker rotation. Armed with a trendy aesthetic and breathable mesh base, the 2005 tech-runner has released in several widely available styles since re-emerging from the archives earlier this year.
This latest pair doesn’t scream “Y2K” like many of its colorful counterparts, including a recently surfaced “Chrome” colorway, but opts for “Light Pumice” and “Dark Smoke Grey” leather overlays across the upper. A “Sanddrift” midsole and “Metallic Silver” piping around the Swoosh add some intrigue, but all things considered, the contemporary palette on display here doesn’t really align with 2000s hallmarks at all.
