The Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn couldn’t be further away from its peak season as we delve deeper into summer, but alas, one of the most controversial AJ1 variants in the brand’s arsenal just surfaced in a new “Burgundy Crush” colorway.

The women’s-exclusive model has been met with mixed reviews since it debuted earlier this year, much like “Method Of Make” AJ1s and other re-imaginations that often irk sneaker purists. Recognizable features include a Jordan 1 toe box and heel paneling, although the top half is elongated to comprise a boot as opposed to a sneaker. Naturally, the introduction of a chunky platform sole stands out as the most notable change.
