Given the fact that the Nike Ja 1 made its debut at the dawn of 2023, it’s only a matter of time before we hear word about the Memphis Grizzlies star’s next signature shoe. While we wait patiently, however, new Ja 1 colorways have done more than enough to hold down the fort.
With “USA” and “Reverse Scratch” colorways already on the July 2024 slate, a fresh new kid’s pair joins the fray. Taken in Memphis Grizzlies jersey colors of “Mystic Navy” and “University Gold,” we see unique materials and detailing throughout. The heel panel is comprised of light washed denim, and the TPU Swoosh comes decorated by circular yellow spots in a playful choice. Subtle indentations on the shoe’s various leather panels conclude a well-rounded design theme on the top half, while yellow tread brings some vibrancy underfoot.
