EQLZ Debuts The 247 “Hidden Gem” Inspired By The Game’s Raw Talents

EQLZ Debuts The 247 “Hidden Gem” Inspired By The Game’s Raw Talents

Earlier in May, the ceremonious launch of the EQLZ and its debut 247 basketball shoe was met with arms wide opens by the global basketball community. It stole the show with ease thanks to its sleek aesthetic, the design pedigree, and the underdog attitude — all of which were factors in its debut.

With three colorways of the 247 already launching to the public, EQLZ now unveils its first limited-edition “Hidden Gem” colorway that nods to the impact players that didn’t have the luxury of media hype, national rankings, or the viral highlights to back their stock. Think the Ben Wallaces, Alex Carusos, Jeremy Lins of the world — the players that were raw, uncut, and full of promise. With this “Hidden Gem”, EQLZ is on a mission to find the next hidden talent of basketball.

For this special issue, EQLZ designer Aaron Cooper teamed with @goku_equalizer, an underground streetball legend from Beijing who is now an artist, The entire upper sticks with an all-black, with the mesh knit wrapping the midsole and the leather rand through an engineered heating process. The TPU now appears in an emerald green with a slight hit of iridescence, representing the hidden gem embedded in rock.

Here’s the twist: the EQLZ 247 “Hidden Gem” is limited to just 247 pairs, and each and every pair is being given away through a unique submission process. To be considered, DM @eqlz_world on Instagram and share your own personal hoops story and how the “Hidden Gem” concept applies to you. Furthermore, a select few winners of the giveaway could be part of a documentary by @thatcalvinmai.

Additionally, EQLZ has restocked the white/black colorway of the 247 with additional international shipping options.
