The Air Jordan 1 Mid EasyOn For Kids Features Giant Silver Swooshes

Futuristic aesthetics for the younger crowd.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid EasyOn For Kids Features Giant Silver Swooshes

While the news that production of Swoosh classics like the Air Force 1 caused some unrest among long-time Nike fans, production of both that silhouette and Beaverton mainstays has seemingly ramped up in the recent times. Once the street style shoe de jour, the Air Jordan 1 remains a very frequent face, appearing in all shapes and sizes. Another lively edition is now checking in for the kids, an execution of an out-of-left-field colorway and accessibility tech.

Aesthetically, the central feature here is seen on the sides, a serious sizing up of your typical Swooshes. Beaverton creatives take that branding change further than just scale, outlining it futuristic chrome and planting a red/white-blue gradient on full synthetic TPU inside. The back-to-front split is mirrored throughout the shoe, with an all-red toe-box and cobalt silken interior at the rear.

Though the initiative was first introduced as an aid for those with mobility restrictions, EasyOn tech has since expanded far beyond that demo. It’s now offered up as no-frills both for comfort-minded adults and as an aid for parents. Velcro straps have defined the past editions, but here a wider heel and overall foot entrance allows you to step in freely, the collar bending around your heel in the process.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid EasyOn is expected for a Fall release, available in full kids’ sizing. A specific price breakdown isn’t available at the time of writing, but keep this article and our Jordan Release Dates landing page close for the most current info.
