Andrew Rizzo Crocs and Pokémon are linking up for a collaborative footwear capsule inspired by some of the most iconic characters in the franchise. In the wake of Naruto and Gundam Crocs, the project once again marries an iconic Japanese anime/multimedia brand with casual slip-on kicks, and could very well prove to be the most sought-after Crocs collaboration upon it’s eventual release later this year.
The capsule includes pairs for Charizard, Snorlax, Jigglypuff, and Gengar, each of which revolves around their respective defining hallmarks. Kicking things off with the flamethrower, Charizard’s pair comes with a fiery red/orange/yellow mix and four jibbitz charms; two different balls of fire and two graphics of the character. Moving on to our sleepy friend Snorlax, their design boasts a fitting blue and white pattern decorated by the charms of the charter taking a snooze, naturally. Crocs also includes a jibbitz that reads “Zzzzz” alongside a grey star-shaped accessory.
Jigglypuff’s pair follows the same pattern as its counterparts with a pink/white ensemble up top, with a musical note jibbitz standing out as the most notable accessory (Jigglypuff is known for singing a lullaby in the Pokémon anime series). Concluding the four-pack with Gengar, their pair comes with a black/pink/purple pattern and four jibbitz as well, one of them being a bluk berry. All four pairs also feature Poké Ball graphics on the strap securing points and insoles, as well as the traditional yellow and blue Pokémon logos across the heel strap.
