Andrew Rizzo The market for outdoor footwear has never been stronger, and with fall and winter on the horizon, everyone riding the “gorpcore” wave can expect to enjoy an increased variety of rugged, nature-minded footwear options. Most of Nike’s outdoor shoes fall under the ACG umbrella, but the Beaverton brand has a number of other offerings that are just as weather-permitting. One of them, the Air Humara trail runner, just surfaced in a new “Burgundy” colorway for women.
The titular hue paints the bulk of the design, save only for black and “Metallic Silver” detailing up top. The model itself wears a number of different materials, with this latest pair opting for leather overlays and sporty breathable mesh underneath. Moreover, the rear of the shoe features sparse instances of hairy suede for variety. In addition to the elongated eyelets up top, another one of the model’s hallmark features is a two-tone checkerboard pattern that typically appears on the midsole. This women’s pair only features the “Burgundy” color underfoot, but upon close inspection, the texture of the pattern is maintained through delicate detailing.
Nike hasn’t mentioned a firm release date at the time of this writing, but the women’s Air Humara “Burgundy/Black/Metallic Silver” should arrive some time during the Fall 2024 shopping season for $160. Let the official image gallery below guide your purchase decision.
