LeBron James And Nike Are Releasing A Signature Training Shoe Soon

LeBron James is clearly thinking about his next steps after basketball. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer has won his bouts against Father Time so far, but as the end of his career looms, even his expansive roster under Nike is aiming towards off-the-court applications. After Team USA practice gave way to our first true look at the LeBron 22, it also supplied another brand new model, the Nike LeBron TR1. A slew of colorways is set to bring the model to market this Fall, and our first official look comes at the “Grey/Volt” edition.

More developed imagery allows us to truly get a sense of what this model brings to the table, beginning with a plush Flyknit upper. While the layered composition was tipped off in those very first shots of the model, the shoe’s bottom-heavy nature is easier communicated here, giving way to a shroud-like TPU on the lateral side that blurs the line between midsole and foxing.

Underfoot, a collision of curvilinear patterns makes for multi-directional traction, primarily built on a grid-like arrangement with wavy cutouts towards the forefoot and heel. Though we can make out a few of the points of emphasis here, clearer details on this shoe’s performance capabilities will assuredly come as the shoe’s release gets closer.

In this look, the LeBron TR1 keeps things traditional with a trademark Nike colorway. A gradient with descending applications of “Smoke Grey” is starkly contrasted with vivid neon “Volt” accents on the oversized Swoosh and James’ patented crown logo on the pull tab.

The Nike LeBron TR1 is expected to arrive in this “Grey/Volt” colorway this Fall, retailing at $130. Check out the full suite of official images embedded ahead, and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for up-to-the-minute info.
