The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 was unquestionably one of the more common sights this spring & summer, encapsulating the tech runner wave and providing serious all-day comfort along the way. As the leaves begin to turn and calendar pages flip, can it hold onto its status? Nike’s current lifestyle darling likely isn’t falling off its perch either way, but a hefty dose of season-ready style certainly won’t hurt.

It’s a full embrace of earthy tonality with this pair, sprawling from off-white wide mesh, the burnt sienna heel cage and “Khaki” leather overlays. An asymmetric “Fire Red” midsole strip is mirrored by an all-red insole and scattered hits throughout the profile for a jolt of energy in the margins. While other Swoosh offerings may have a longer history of street style, it’s hard to argue that many of them currently have as much juice as the Vomero 5, a staple of both trendy streetwear looks and general mall fare. More than likely, pairs like this “Khaki” edition will be a common sight as we look to autumn.
